The president of IIDR, Dr. Yoshino, obtained a degree of Ph.D. from Tohoku University, Sendai, Japan and had research experiences in UK (Department of Rheumatology, School of Medicine, University of Birmingham), in USA (Department of Pharmacology, Medical School, New York University; Neurologic Disease Center, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School), in Germany (Department of Rheumatology and Clinical Immunology, Max-Planck Institute), and in Japan (Department of Microbiology, Saga Medial School). In 2000, Dr. Yoshino was appointed as a professor of pharmacology at Kobe Pharmaceutical University. Dr. Yoshino founded the Institute of Immune Disease Regulation in 2017. His research interests include establishment of antigen-specific regulation of autoimmune and allergic diseases, based on clarification of the pathogenesis of the diseases. Dr. Yoshino published more than 200 papers in international journals.
